Route: Yangon-Putao-Yangon
Days: 8 days- 7 nights

Day 1 : Yangon Arrival

Upon your arrival at Yangon Airport, our guide will meet you with Welcoming Signage and then escort you to your hotel. In the evening, enjoy the sunset to the Great Shwedagone Pagoda built the most prominent monument in Yangon which dominates the sky with golden flash, giant spires and holy relics.

Day 2 : Yangon-Putao

Air Transfer RGN-PBU/ 11:15-15:20 (flight only on Tue & Fri)

Today, we leave from Yangon by flight to Putao. Upon arrival at Putao airport you will be met by Putao trekking house’s representative and transferred to your guest house. Putao lies in a flat valley, jumping-off point for trekkers who want to explore the region’s deep forests, wildlife sanctuaries and snow-capped mountains etc. After a brief fresh up take a walk around Putao for the orientation.

Day 3 : Putao – Namtunkoo (trekking)

Early in the morning walk to Putao market (approx 10 minute), visit attractive market often busy with local ethnic tribes. Return to hotel, breakfast and head off towards Namtunkoo Lisu village, situates west of Putao on the cross road to Mt. Lancrumadin (20 km, approx 5 hours). Walk through cultivation field passing some small villages and farm land. After about one hour walking on the flat land you are immediately in to wildness with lush tropical evergreen forests. About 3 hours trek through the terrain up hill you reach approx 2250 ft, 680 meters shoulder of Namhtun mountain range from where the path descends all the way. Far west you will see blazing 11530 ft, 3495 meters high Lancrumadin Mountain towards Indian border. Lunch stop and continue trek another one more hour through the farm land to the village. Check in at a designated home and heading to Namhtun creek, usually busy during the late afternoon by local on their return home from field.

Day 4 : Putao – Namtunkoo (trekking/ Jeep)

Breakfast and we bit good bye to the locals and walk about 1½ hour (with the distance 2.5 km) through the field along Namhtun creek crossing the creek a couple of time. Once we get in to the wildness the terrain immediate become deep up amongst bamboo forests which leads up to 2658 ft, 810 meters, which should take us about one hour (with the distance 1.25 km). From here descending trek goes through sub-tropical forests about one hour through (with the distance 1.82 km). We continue trek through farm land about one hour (with the distance 1.18 km) from where we enjoy a spectacular view of the Putao plain spiral through snake like crawling Mula creek. About 1½ hour easy walk then we meet with out waiting jeep and travel further to Mulashidi village where we enjoy beautiful surrounding often back drop with snow capped mountains in distance. Later we return back to Putao.

Day 5 : Machanbaw

Breakfast and excursion by jeep to Machanbaw (20 km, approx one hour). Machanbaw is a small administrative town ex-Putao with beautifully set up colonial style town. Arrive at Naungkhine village and walk through by a small suspension bridge span across Malikha river to Machanbaw. Excursion in town includes a small market and walk up to the so-called stone dragon park which should takes about 20 minutes to view the snake-like rock formation. Walk back to the river front, cross suspension bridge to other side and drive back to Putao. Lunch at hotel and have a relaxing afternoon in Putao.

Day 6 : Walking/ birking tour to Mundon area (easy)

Breakfast and visit attractive Putao market and rest of the morning at leisure. Perhaps visit one of the local orphanage schools and afternoon take an easy walk to Paneling Hkamti Shan village and visit unique Mahamuni Image and other attractions. Continue walk to Putaung Shan village through paddy field and gardens having small Buddhist Shrine with a back drop of Blue Mountains and snow-capped Mountains far in the horizon. Continue walk Gyinyankan Lisu village and finally walk to Malawagy village, located on a small plateau which gives you a panoramic view of Putao valley. Return walk will be though Lonsut village back to Putao and check in at hotel (total walking hour – approx 3 – 5)

Day 7 : Putao-Yangon

Air Transfer PBU-RGN/ 15:40-19:45 (flight only on Tue & Fri)

Breakfast and perhaps a last minute shopping at Putao market and further visit in and around Putao with suggestion by your guide. Then transfer to airport for your onward departure flight to conclude this unique experience. Upon arrival Yangon, transfer to hotel.

Day 8 : Yangon departure

Enjoy your free time until flight out of Myanmar. Today we will say goodbye to you at the airport.
