Your cycling round Myanmar will cut through quiet back-roads between rice fields, temples, and scenic countryside. Passing through many small villages, you will find the people curious, friendly and polite. We will share the road with ox carts, other cyclists, and excited children. Most rides are on country lanes with almost lack of traffic.

DAY 01 : ARRIVAL

Welcome to the Garden City Yangon

yangon06Arrive by either morning or afternoon flight to Yangon International Airport. Our representative will give welcome gifts including traditional Shan bag, stamped postcard and Map of Myanmar. Transfer to hotel for check – in, then followed by sightseeing of some major highlights in Yangon : Chaukhtatgyi reclining Buddha image, Sule Pagoda, Maha Bandoola Park with Independence Monument, located at the heart of the city, the Bogyoke market- a shopping market with more than 2000 shops selling all kinds of products but of special mention is the beautiful exotic “Shan Bag” velvet slippers, lacquer ware, Gems shops and all sorts of handicraft and the 2,500 years old magnificent Shwedagon Pagoda sheathed in 11 tons of pure gold and 4,350 diamonds weighing 1800 carats! At sunset, the Shwedagon offers visitor a spectacular show of lights and shadows. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant and overnight at Summit Parkview Hotel.

DAY 02 : Yangon – Syriam – Kyauk Tan – Yangon (50 Km Cycling)

After breakfast, to avoid the traffic of Yangon city, we took a car to Syriam before we pick up our bikes and start cycling to Kyauk Tan. On the way sightseeing the villages to see the ways of life of the local people and some cottage industries. After visit around Kyauk Tan pagoda and drive back to Yangon by car and visit China Town. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant. Overnight at Summit Park View Hotel.

DAY 03 : Yangon – Bagan with morning flight (flying hour 1:20)

After breakfast, you will be transfer to airport for flight to Bagan. On arrival to Bagan airport we pick up our bike and ride along the river side across the Natdaungkyaung, Taungbila village, university of lacquerware then continue to explore the Nyaung Oo Market which is very active in the morning not only for the local people but also for the tourists, then continue to the Shwezigon Pagoda a prototype of later Myanmar stupa. Then to the Wetkyi-in Gubyaukkyi Temple with fine mural paintings of Jataka scenes Ananda Temple, an architectural masterpiece resembling a Greek Cross. After lunch at the local restaurant we will check- in to the Thande Hotel.Afternoon sightseeing tour continues with bike to visits some of the beautiful monument and sun set at Pyathagyi temple. Dinner at outside local restaurants and overnight in Thande Hotel.

DAY 04 : Bagan (50 Km Cycling)

After breakfast, enjoy another full day cycling. We first head to New Bagan to explore some of the monument and villages to study ways of life of people until Lunch time. Then visit to the lacquerware industry where you can study traditional Myanmar lacquerware making. In the afternoon, we continues riding to the Myinkabar village which we can study about the lacquerware, Manuha Temple with gigantic Buddha images, a captive king’s impression of life in prison; Nanpaya, an Early-style temple with the finest stone carvings and Sun set at Shwesandaw pagoda . Dinner at outside local restaurants and overnight in Thande Hotel.

DAY 05 : Bagan – Kyaukpataung – Popa – Bagan (69 Km Cycling)

After breakfast, we will drive to Kyaukpataung which is the south-east of Bagan and visit the local market. Then pick up our bikes to start cycling to Mt.Popa (18 km ), an extinct volcano, which is the abode of Nats ( Spirits ). On top of the mountain, there are monasteries, pagodas and shrines in different style. Enjoy lunch enroute.After that riding back to Bagan (51 km ), on the way visit the palm cottage which we can study about how to make the toddy, Jeggery and oil pressing by ox and villages to study ways of life of people.

Dinner at outside local restaurants and overnight in Thande Hotel.

DAY 06 : Bagan – Mandalay with morning flight (flying hour 0:25)

After breakfast at the hotel, you will be transfer to airport for flight to Mandalay. On arrival to Tada-Oo International Airport, you will be proceeding to famous Mahamuni Pagoda, one of the most sacret Buddha Image in Mandalay. Then a short visit to Gold foil making cottage industry. Check-in at hotel and followed by lunch at outside local restaurant.

After lunch you will be enjoying Mandalay afternoon sightseeing that begins with Shwenandaw Monastery, noted for its exquisite wood carvings; Kuthodaw Pagoda, known as the World’s Biggest Book for its stone slabs of Buddhist scriptures. Tour continues to Mandalay Hill, a vantage point for a panoramic view of the city and a spectacular sunset view.

It is worthy to have a stroll up the hill enjoying panoramic views from different location. Return can be made by car as there is also a car track by the base of elevator just before the platform. Dinner at outside local restaurant. Overnight at Mandalay Sawn Hotel.

DAY 07 : Mandalay – Mingun – Sagaing – Ava – Amarapura –Mandalay (70Km Cycling)

After a very early breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the Kywe Zun river side to start bike to the Nan Daw Kyun jetty. Cross the Ayewawaddy River by private boat for 45 minutes boat trip to Mingun. Sightseeing around Mingun includes: Mingun pagoda known as the biggest brick pile and biggest ringing Mingun bell. Then bike towards Sagaing to see some cottages industries and continues to Ava (Inwa) a historical capital founded by King Thado Minbya in 1364 and Amarapura at the U bein bridge to see the sun set. Drive back by car to the hotel Dinner at outside local restaurant. Overnight at Mandalay Sawn.

DAY 08 : Mandalay – Pyin Oo Lwin (50Km Cycling)

After breakfast at the hotel, transfer to the train station for train to Pyin Oo Lwin, on the way we have a chance to ride numerous switchbacks or makes its slow way up a steep ascent. make this an interesting.

It is situated 1070 meters (3510 feet) above the sea level. When we arrive there, we took horse cart to visit the market and then pick up our bikes and start cycling to Anee Sa Khan and Paikchinmyang. Which were attracted to its cool, spring-like weather, pine forests, waterfall and lakes. Then drive back to the hotel for check in. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant and over night at Royal park View Hotel.

DAY 9 : Pyin Oo Lwin – Mandalay (70Km Cycling)

After breakfast at the hotel, we will take bikes for 2 hours ride down the hill back to Mandalay. On the way back we will ride pass fields and visit a strawberry garden, meeting the local villagers and visit some cottages industry. Afterwards, we will return to Mandalay and check in to Hotel.The rest of the day is free and leisure. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant and over night at Mandalay Swan.

DAY 10 : Mandalay – Heho – Kalaw (25Km Cycling)

After a very early breakfast at the hotel, you will be transfer to airport for flight to Heho. On arrival to Heho airport we pick up our bikes cycling on beautiful undulating roads passing through vegetable farm and rice paddies. Enjoy the lunch enroute. We finish our ride at Kalaw and the rest of the day is at your leisure to rest or explore the small town. Dinner at local restaurant and stay overnight at Pin Hill Resort.

DAY 11 : Kalaw – Pindaya – Inle (50Km Cycling)

After breakfast at the hotel, enjoy another day ride downhill through pine forests, villages and fruits and vegetable plantations as we descend nearly 1200 m from the sea level. Late afternoon arrive to Pindaya. After Lunch visit to the Shan papermaking factory, Bamboo hat making factory and to Pindaya Caves, well known for its Buddha statues carved out of limestone. Before check in make a short stop for take photo at over 250 years old Banyan trees. Then drive towards to Inle by car. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant and stay overnight at Nyaung Shwe Hupin Hotel.

DAY 12 : Inle

After breakfast at hotel, transfer to jetty for boat ride to make excursion in Inle Lake ( by boat ) visiting to the following places like unique leg-rowers and scenic beauty, fishing canoes using special methods for fishing and collecting seaweed, lakebed mud etc to make floating gardens. Then you will visit well known Nga Pe Chaung ( Jumping Cat ) monastery and Silver smith factory.

Then visit to Cheroot making factory, Boat making carpentry workshop, Silk weaving factory. In the lave afternoon, visit the most famous Paungdaw Oo Pagoda. On the way back to Nyaung Shwe you will pass through some villages to enjoy life on the lake. Lunch and dinner at outside local restaurants and overnight in Nyaung Shwe Hupin Hotel.

DAY 13 : Inle – Taunggyi – Kakku – Nankhar -Nampan – Mine Thauk – Inle (50Km Cycling)

After a very early breakfast at the hotel, drive to Taunggyi the capital of Shan State and Kakku.by car. After visiting the the magnificent Kakku Pagoda complex of over 2000 stupas which has just recently been opened for foreign visitors.We pick up our bike to start cycling to Nankhar village and through the range of mountain stretching from, Nampan village to Mine Thauk. There are great photo ops and lush vegetation and towards to Nyaung Shwe.Pass through lush jungle and beautiful villages nestled under the shadow of the historic Shan plateau mountain range.We reach Nyange Shwe at the end of day a remote town where Inle lake is situated.Lunch and dinner at outside local restaurants and overnight in Nyaung Shwe Hupin Hotel.

DAY 14 : Heho – Yangon with evening flight (flying hour 1:20)

After breakfast, visit to Indein, the hidden treasure of Pa-O ethnic tribes to see the ruin pagodas in the forest. Then transfer to Heho airport for flight to Yangon. Lunch and dinner at local restaurant and Overnight at Summit Parkview Hotel.

DAY 15 : DEPARTURE by flight – TG – 304 (1005-1150 ) or 8M-335 ( 0810-0955 )

After breakfast, free at leisure until transfer to airport for International departure.
